Got this game to work with him at home on pronunciation and alphabet recognition. I love it when my son plays these games because no other app has those games. \n\nHowever, there is a MAJOR flaw to this app. Because of their partnership with Puzzingo, Wonster Words gets a 1 star review from me. The reason being, the puzzles are too easily accessed and children can spend all of their time putting puzzle pieces into a blank space. That’s it. Nothing to do with words or anything of any educational value. And the worst part is, when I tell my child to get off the puzzles or to switch to the actual puzzingo app (which I broke down and bought so I could better track his educational screen time since we are a homeschool family), he gets EXTREMELY mouthy and rude. There’s just something about those games that breeds bad behavior in children and I don’t like it. The “puzzles” are far too easily accessed instead of being reward mini games for completing work. \n\nI will be telling other homeschoolers to avoid this app like the plague and will be deleting it and Puzzingo promptly.  Such a disappointment, because there are actually games of great educational value on this app, but they are overshadowed by the useless Puzzingo games. Her vocabulary, comprehension, and sentence structure started to astonished people during her first year of preschool. She is  excited during the games! She loves phonics, learning the alphabet, and is proud of new vocabulary words she incorporates into her daily conversations. Sometime while chatting with her I have to remind myself, “ She is only 4 years old.”  This app jump started my child’s love of the alphabet, words, communication and speech.
