Oftentimes it feels like to keep up with other players the game is goading you into spending money to get that shiny JPEG that does the magic numbers that make you win. \nEternal- for the most part- sidesteps this due in part to the fact it’s an online experience built on a tried and true single player game franchise. While most Gundam fans will roll their eyes at the fact they’re playing through the TV shows for the 10,000th time, the game makes up for this by having a truly staggering catalogue of Mobile Suits available, from picks as obvious as the Zaku to obscure side story designs like the Le Cygne. Fairly generous with rewards, and it’s quite easy to stockpile resources. \nThe game keeps things fresh by having an always active rotation of events; be it boss units, story adaptations of shorter Gundam media, or challenge levels, all of these bring their own boons that reward the player for investing time. The difficulty is modtly neglible so you are more than free to boost your favorite characters and mobile suits to maximum to get the most out of them. \nI did mention that the game *mostly* sidesteps power creep, because it isn’t free of a competitive PvP mode, and as long as playerbases can intersct with a game a meta is bound to form. What you get out of the Master League— which is entirely optional anyways- depends on if you’re really willing to experiment and use units you normally wouldn’t. \nOverall, this is my “main” mobile game and I always play it at least once a day. I beat the first campaign and got access to the seed campaign along with its ms tree and farmed a bit until I had enough to get a full squad of high-ish level daggers. My favorite being the buster dagger. I really hope this game could get a console/pc port as I have really been loving the ease of use improvements, though it does seem to lack some of the features I really liked from other entries in the series such as putting mobile suits into my ships and custom character pilots. It’s a fun turn based game, if you end up liking it then I would highly recommend the other games on PlayStation, n switch, and pc. I think there are one or two vita games as well. Tactical turn based strategy in the Gundam universe. It’s very similar to the non free SD games. It’s a gotcha and best units are sealed behind random pulls that require premium currency. Starting out the game is pretty generous in providing this but once you complete the main story lines it comes in very slow. So far I have been enjoying the game play until I run out of energy that’s required to play missions. This really is a cancer in mobile games. It’s also very petty way to nickel and dime your player base. I’m okay with spending some cash on a good game but limiting the player like that is not okay. Now with the introduction of the master league that puts you against other players mobile suits the power discrepancy is very apparent to the ones that spend money and the ones that don’t. The worst really is they fully automated the combat. In all other combat you have the option to auto or control it. The AI is basic and will not utilize the different suits abilities and ranges.. I’ve been left a few times wondering watching the ai play in master league wishing I could control it. Taking away the players control is just a shady tactic with sub par ai to get you to spend more money.\n\n\nOver all it’s a solid game with some questionable design choices for late game and the
