I remember reaching out to 2rk maybe a year and a half ago about doing a college football game and here we are 😂. These guys have done a fantastic job with their other ventures ( football, soccer, basketball, baseball, and hockey) and I think this one will be no different. I love how they just added more ways to reap in recruiting tickets! That is huge! A few things they could maybe add are; Yes, Bowl games for people who miss out on the playoffs and have a 500 record or higher, with big rewards if you win them. (2rk said they do plan to come with Bowl games in a future update, can’t wait!) Access to the transfer portal year-round Progress and moving up in the ranks of this game is heavily facility oriented so making it easier to upgrade those facilities would be nice. (Also giving larger rewards for completing season goals, maybe even reworking them to where each goal has two outcomes, completing it or missing it, but both have a reward, with the lower the goal the higher compensation for missing it and the higher the goal, the lower the compensation for missing it). Lower gear costs, sometimes it’s just an outlandish price to sign a gear. I think High School players could request a little bit less recruiting tokens, a lot of times you find guys asking 200 to 300 tokens and that’s often more than you have total to spend on a whole class lol. Add legend mode! That would be hype! The option to choose how good your starting team is when starting a new save (you could include this feature with premium or something) Overall I think that’s it so far 😂, I know I will think of other things in the future, but I can’t wait to see how this thing grows! However, there are two main issues that hinder your progression. 1) One of the coach's goals is to have a player win a personal award (POTY, FOTY). This is placed pretty early on in the coach's objectives which makes absolutely zero sense. This should be one of the later, if not final objectives as one does not simply win player of the year with a rebuilding program. POTY is reserved for elite teams, not teams just starting out. This essentially makes your coach stuck at 65 rated and makes winning that award even more impossible as your coach cannot get better, and hence your team cannot get better. 2) Money. Mainly facility costs. After leveling up to around level 3 to 4 for the facilities, the costs to maintain for some reason get really high, and it is impossible to make money unless you make playoffs every year (even the seasonal goal for hitting 8 wins is not enough). Speaking of which, why does that goal decrease over time. Winning 8 games used to reward $175M to the program, but after 30 seasons, it only rewards $90M. How does that make sense when costs are increasing, and team popularity is increasing?? This is a really cool concept, but unless these issues are addressed, I'm afraid this game is going down the path of being a pay-to-win game due to its incredibly difficult progression without injecting money into your program via real money.
