I started reading this story on instagram and downloaded the app to continue reading. The first few chapters are free which is the case with most of the books. The cost to unlock each chapter increases and the amount of content decreases in most. You have the option to watch ads to unlock chapters but that’s not always the case for the entire book. It’s difficult to bank enough coins/bonuses to unlock the majority of the chapters so you’re forced to pay an outrageous price to finish reading or stop altogether. One chapter I was reading started out as 85 coins to unlock, then 147, 171, on up to 197. I figured this out by scrolling to the next chapter to see the unlock cost then back noticing the change each time I scrolled ahead or back a chapter. There’s a slight delay in the change so you just have to wait a second or two. Also, the watch ads option changed. Looking at the chapter list, the ad icon was on every chapter throughout the entire book until I unlocked a chapter by watching the ads. When I went to the next chapter, the watch ads option was gone.
