It allows me to easily manage my finances, check balances, make transfers, and pay bills. I also appreciate the high level of security provided by the Bank of Ireland app.\n\nHowever, I would like to have the ability to work with cryptocurrencies directly in this app. Lately, cryptocurrencies have become increasingly popular, and many banks already offer such functionality. It would be great if Bank of Ireland also implemented this feature so that customers could manage their crypto assets without the need for other apps.\n\nAdditionally, I would like to see the introduction of NFT token sales, similar to what the bank Credit Suisse is doing. During this time I’ve been requesting Face ID login any time they ask for feedback. They have finally allowed Face ID login but it’s terrible. Firstly, it only “works” for logging in. There’s still the same rigmarole every time you make a payment that you have to insert three numbers from your pin and swipe a pointless verification thing after your pin. If you’re doing a few payments in a row, you’ve attempted to use Face ID to log in , which may or may not work ( if it doesn’t work, you’re instructed to input your pin which also won’t work unless you close the app and reopen it). Then you choose to do a payment where Face ID is not an option for security, you input 3 random number from your pin and slide the verification bar to confirm. This has to be done for each payment. It’s a joke. Bank of Ireland should really look at the revolut app. It’s light years ahead and I think I’ve revolut offer Irish ibans, I’ll be closing my Bank of Ireland account. Update 23 March Face ID on iPhone is still a disaster. Doesn’t sheets work and asks for PIN login instead which also doesn’t work until I close and reopen the app. I’m now online researching which bank I will move to. Even my credit Union app with all its flaws can manage to integrate Face ID. The app is also using 5.5gb of storage. For ‘safety’, aside from two factor authentication you must also have an additional device in order to approve your log in, and seek that approval for EVERY transaction you wish to accomplish, once you’re logged in. More often than not, when you finish with that approval and go back to the website, the connection is lost, and you must start all over again. When I need to use this app, or even just look at my statement, I make sure I have at least 30 minutes in which to do so. While I understand that the intention is for the ‘safety’ of the customer, once you have logged in with the two factor authentication, is there really a need to continue to do this for every single transaction once you are logged into the website???\n\nEdit: I have received a response from the developer, Declan, with regard to my review, sending me to a link for ‘Strong Customer Authentication’ (SCA) which instructs me on the necessity for two factor authentication.  While giving general information, it does not answer any of my queries.  I am also given a link indicating I can ‘contact the developer’ but only leads me to the main BOI site.  I would have contacted him directly, but there is no instruction as to how to do so.  Nevertheless, my difficulties with this website was not addressed, to wit, why, once you have been authenticated to get into the site and your account, must you go through ‘SCA’ for EVERY transaction you do?  Why, when authenticating (again and again) do you lose the initial connection and have to begin the process all over again, from the very
