Then they started closing, still wasn’t too bad, local branch was a mile away on the high street, with parking on the street when You could find a space. Back then 5he bank staff couldn’t do enough for you, you had direct phone contact to your branch, even the manager. Mortgage advisors, Insurance advisors and above all else they knew you and gave personal individual service. My last local branch closed in April, I am now expected to drive 10 miles, park on a car park that’s always full coz it’s opposite M & S, then go through the streets to the bank, to staff who don’t know me and seem to be on a number served per hour system, coz it’s yes, thankyou, job done, next customer. Or they have told me I can go and wait in one of two towns, both 4 miles away and wait for a van to turn up on a certain day for 2 hours. Well I’m afraid your closure program has led to my account closure Nat West, after 45 years I’m looking for a bank a mile away. I have my choice of 2, Halifax or Santander, there are 2 other banks but I am a wheelchair user and they have steps to get in. So Halifax or Santander, local service, a branch on my doorstep when I need it, not sure which one yet! One gripe is that the biometric authorisation is a bit hit and miss. I used it once and it worked first time and then tried shortly afterwards and it kept refusing to ‘find’ my face. Hopefully this will become more reliable with future updates. I occasionally have to close and reopen the app when transferring money between  accounts as the money leaves one account but doesn’t immediately show in the other account. First time I had a brief worry that I’d transferred to the wrong account but it showed up immediately I opened the app again to check.\n\nLove this - it saves me so much time. I've had it for a while and the first version only allowed to transfer between accounts which was okay but not too helpful. Now I can pay bills on the go whenever I want. I like the security feature that means you have to pay a bill from your online account before you can make a payment from the app when you set up a new payee. Not only do the offer competitive rates the also provide incentives long no interest balance transfers ( for a certain period of course) but the provided me with a decent credit line. So many of the strange named credit card companies providing you with pitiful credit £900-£1200 and try charge you 50% interest. As I am an Irish Citizen recently in the past five years relocated to Northern Ireland which is UK, The only options I had to have a credit line was to have 4 separate Visa Cards.\n\nI took great pleasure in calling all of them today and closed all accounts as they expected trust from me to make payments (which I always do) but yet my trust was a measly £1200? I’ve never missed a payment on anything in my life. So for NatWest to show me trust which I will always honour as well as there lightning fast app, knowledgeable and friendly staff. I have found my new go to bank will be moving my savings account as well as current account as soon as I can rearrange DD’s etc but I would highly recommend NatWest to the average person out there you
