Then the third time when I was trying to sign in, it said that I didn’t have an account with that email. I knew that I did, so I tried to reset my password thinking maybe it was a fluke. Once again, I was told that that email was unregistered. So I try to register again. Then after going through all of the registration process, it tells me that the email that I used has already been registered. After three more attempts at this, redownloading the app, and trying to reset my password, I’m effectively locked out of the app before using my student email account to make a new account. You can tell that almost no effort went into this app despite people paying stupid sums of money for what are effectively the same thing as NHS tests, and this being their lifeline for travel. Ordered the “Remote Lateral Flow Test Randox CertiFly”which is a rapid home test and MUCH less expensive than the PCR test. Cost was £24. Arrived about 3 or 4 days after I ordered it. Used the app to register, and then when I tested the day before traveling it was easy to upload the result to the app. Got a pdf certificate emailed back about an hour later confirming my negative result. Then used that with the separate VeriFLY app which enabled no-hassle flight home. \nConsidering all the confusion and dodgy options out there I was really relieved that Randox worked so well.
