I love all the different worlds you can unlock, whether for free or with coins or gems, all the fun challenges, and all the different cities you “travel” to in the game. However, I do have two small issues with the game, although I firmly believe it is a five star game. \nThe problems I’ve been having are not completely within the game itself. My main problem is ads. And no, this game doesn’t swarm you with ads all the time, and you can watch them to unlock certain parts of a city or to increase coins after completing said part. My problem with ads, however, is that sometimes when I am watching ads to increase coins to time on an event, the ad/game freezes, and I am unable to exit and continue my Pocket World puzzle. I have to close the Pocket World app and open it again, resulting in me loosing the challenge or not getting bonus coins. It is a slight issue, but nonetheless frustrating. \nIt doesn’t impact my image of this game however. I 10/10 would recommend it to puzzle lovers, those who want to “explore” the world, or need a simple game to help them relax. I got this game when it was first released to the App Store and it has grown so much. Aside from the problem with the ads, I have no complaints about this game. The events are constant and puzzles are added weekly. My only issue is the events are starting to get very one sided. There’s one event you need to click on boats too see what symbol is underneath the sail (like memory). Last 2-3 times this event has run the game isn’t giving me a matching symbol so I end up getting very few items that I need to unlock associated puzzles. Also the Fast and Furious event has had recent issues, these puzzles aren’t as responsive as regular puzzles. I’ll hold pieces over a spot and nothing will happen, then I run out of time and need to watch a time added video and try again, still doesn’t go, then I watch the hint video to make sure I have it positioned correctly and even though the game is telling me I’m putting it in the correct spot the piece still won’t go into place for a few tries. Needless to say I haven’t finished several events recently when I used to finish every one that I tried to. I normally play every day and watch the videos to get all of the extra chances so I can finish events. Many of the puzzles are challenging. Some easy. I love that, after solving each puzzle, there is a bit of tourist information about the building/site. It’s kind of like a virtual tour of the world. I have enjoyed this for a good many hours while staying at home during this pandemic. \n\nOn the negative side. I understand the need for ads. I don’t have a problem with watching lots of ads to get these great puzzles. When you solve puzzles you are awarded ‘coins’. Those coins are used to ‘buy’ other special puzzles. However, the number of puzzles you have to solve in order to buy a special puzzle means that you will never be able to get through all of the puzzles. In order to do that, you need to spend lots of money. There is a $20/month subscription. I was hoping that that would afford me the opportunity to solve all of the puzzles they release and participate in the events. But, no. You still have to pay more and more to solve a significant number of puzzles. I have spent nearly $70 in the first month, including a monthly subscription, of this game. And there are still dozens of puzzles I can only play, if I spend at least that much again. I’ve solved all of the cities. I’ve solved all of the puzzles I can. I have cancelled my subscription. I’ve spent all of the money I will spend on this game.
