We had a FA-certified car seat for our one-year-old—a seat we paid for, for a flight that was scheduled from 1 AM to 7 AM so our baby could sleep safely and comfortably.\n\n\n\nBut two women from Skyline Peru / Sky Airlines were absolutely adamant about not allowing us to use it. Not because it was unsafe. Not because it wasn’t certified. But because they refused to listen, refused to acknowledge the regulations, and seemed more focused on being “right” than doing what was right for a child.\n\n\n\nWe were told “no” 16 times.\n\nWe had to say “yes” 17 times—because we knew our rights, we knew the regulations, and we knew our baby’s safety depended on it.\n\n\n\nAt one point, I had to stand my ground and say clearly:\n\n“This seat is not leaving this airplane. It is certified, and we paid for the seat.”\n\n\n\nIt was unbelievable. The behavior we witnessed was a combination of ignorance, lack of training, and pure ego. Their priority wasn’t safety. It wasn’t customer service. It wasn’t a child’s well-being. It was the satisfaction of proving a point.\n\n\n\nSky Airlines urgently needs better training. What happened to us should never happen to another family, ever.\n\n\n\nThe only saving grace of this entire ordeal was Jair, who stepped in, took control, and did what was right. We are grateful for him, because without his intervention, the situation could have escalated even further.\n\n\n\nSky Airlines, do better. Families deserve better.
