With the restrictions shown on the app with regard to bank balances, that check to see if you have money in your account or not, will automatically deny your request for a $20 float. The irony is that if I HAD money in my bank account, the necessity to use Float Me wouldn’t exist. As a frequent user, Float Me needs to update their rules in order to help those of us who do not currently have money in their account for a couple of days until payday. We are struggling out here and that $20 could and does keep us from struggling or literally being hungry. My opinion? A bank balance containing cash makes using Float Me rather redundant. This rule should be rethought. And while they collect their $1.99, they tell you you are ineligible for a float… despite always having paid it back, steady income over $1k/week, and knowing you get paid in a couple days. They don’t tell you why you’re being denied and their criteria in FAQ is vague and not helpful. They will float you last week, take their money back, then deny you without reason when you actually need it and take their subscription fees anyways. Good luck getting a refund \n\nIf someone is needing to borrow $20, they’re clearly in a desperate situation. It’s ridiculously insulting to deny a loyal user of the app this based on some arbitrary numbers and obscure criteria. They break their commitments to customers, offer no value otherwise, yet deny their subscription refunds and overcharge on advance fees.
