I was just coming back home from the city centre in birmingham - all of my friends had already gone home as I had to find my own way back, but I was waiting at the bus stop, opening my HSBC app in preparation to pay for the bus, until I realised I couldn’t use my card to pay for anything as there is an update. Whilst I realise this might not seem like a big deal for all, it’s definitely dangerous for some people - me being as I am a young girl alone in a bus stop late at night, and I could be easily hurt while waiting for transport and waiting for the app to come back as I have no other options to make it back - and for other people as I now realise if someone were to rush to somewhere urgent (such as a hospital to see a loved one, or to go home to look after someone they have waiting at home such as their children etc… the possibilities for this are endless), this app wouldn’t be available. Personally I have no other options, i’m not so sure about other people… There must be another option rather than shutting down the entire app, as it’s surely dangerous for the minority of us in situations where we need our card urgently.
