My problem was that I'd gone straight to the upgrade previously, as per instructions. It's really just trial and error to try to get it to work. Currently the app and entire online service is simply falling apart. Everything is slower and the overall UI and UX is lagging behind compared to all other banks in the UAE, especially FAB.
